Careers
Why is fama PR the best PR firm in Boston? The answer is simple.
Ultimately, what makes fama such an incredible place to work is the people who comprise it (or as one of our employees calls it, the "famaly"). There are no power plays and no unprofessional attitudes - just smart people making good things happen for our clients, and having fun in the process.
Located in the heart of Kendall Square with gorgeous views of the Charles River and Fenway Park, fama PR's headquarters are surrounded by the best and brightest technology companies - from up-and-coming MIT start-ups to powerhouses like Google. fama itself houses elite, rigorously-selected public relations professionals, with an emphasis placed on employees' intellectual precision rather than their ability to fill a room. Each employee of fama PR is an experienced PR practitioner - no secretaries, no assistants and no interns.
Our Approach—Built on Trust
fama PR applies a common sense, hands-on approach to provide superior results and unmatched client service. You'll learn from some of the industry's principals and directors who were able to weather the economic downturn and build a thriving, sustainable business that has attracted a who's who of clients, from the startups we've put on the map to major brands such as Corel, Intuit, Alcatel-Lucent, Computer Associates, Sapient, Dassault Systemes and SPSS.
Our employees are treated like adults - adults whose dedication is rewarded with the freedom to shape their work life. fama PR doesn't mandate a set number of vacation, sick and personal days each year. If someone needs to take a day off, he or she takes a day off. If someone wants to go on vacation, he or she goes on vacation. fama PR employees aren't the type of people to let their teams down by not tying up loose ends or assigning tasks before they leave. It simply doesn't happen. Working from home is never a problem, and never questioned. The fama PR management team puts a lot of trust in its employees, and they work hard to maintain it.
Our Unmatched Benefits
For starters, there's the full medical (PPO plan) and dental coverage. fama PR also contributes 3% of each employee's salary to their Fidelity 401K account, ensuring that each employee will have a retirement nest egg, whether or not they participate themselves. We provide free parking (in Kendall Square!) or T-passes, as well as a monthly gym membership. fama often rewards its employees for exceptional work with bonuses and other perks such as Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox tickets. And we offer Summer Fridays -- with the chance to start your weekend at 2 p.m. throughout the summer months.
And our salaries—well, they are the most competitive in Boston PR. We also offer casual dress—our partners wear flip-flops during the summer months, for example (some of our employees have been known to wear them during the winter, which isn't particularly smart, but hey, who are we to judge?). Additionally, you're welcome to join fama's softball team -- 2006 and 2007 Champions, Metro-Boston Communications Professionals, Shoe Manufacturers, Federal Courts and Allied Tradesmen League (MBCPSMFCATL) (two undefeated seasons in a row)—as a participant or just a fan.
